I have heard the Noah story my entire life but never really thought about the actual work involved. This book made me consider how overwhelming the task must have been and how much trust Noah needed just to start building. Highly recommended.

The practical details gave us so much to talk about beyond just the miracle aspects.

I appreciated how the author showed the hard parts. The months trapped inside the ark with all those animals, the smell and noise and darkness, the uncertainty about when it would end. Faith is not always dramatic. Sometimes it is just getting through another difficult day and trusting that God has not forgotten you. That part really spoke to me during a tough season.

As someone who teaches scripture, I found this retelling helpful for understanding the logistics the biblical account does not explain. How did they organize animal care? What did they eat? How did they handle waste? The author clearly researched these questions and provided reasonable answers that respect the text while adding helpful context. I recommend it to students regularly.
